The test centre is located in Ramsden House near the Town Hall. Access, however, is ONLY from New Street opposite Pritchard’s Butchers near Primark. The bus station is a few minutes’ walk away.

Via the New Street entrance, there is flat level access from the street into the building.

The Springwood car park, Springwood Street, Huddersfield, HD1 4BE, is five minutes’ walk from the test centre. You can use the RingGo app to pay parking charges.

Arrival & Security Protocol

• Strict 15-Minute Rule: You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete check-in procedures. Late arrivals will be turned away without a refund.

• No Visitor Access: The Huddersfield test center strictly prohibits non-candidates (family, colleagues, or children) from entering or waiting inside the facility.

• Locker Facilities: Small secure lockers are provided on-site for personal items. All personal belongings—including mobile phones, watches, bags, and revisions materials—must be stored away prior to entering the computer test room.

• Accepted Photo Identification: You cannot take your test without bringing a valid, original physical photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid UK Passport or Photocard Driving Licence. Digital copies, photos on phones, or expired IDs are strictly rejected.
