Covent Garden runs between Water St (A57) and Chapel St and if approaching from the Water St end the office is on the left hand side down the steps through the black metal gates of the building which has blue tiled columns on it fascia.

If arriving by train Covent Garden is opposite the rear entrance to James Street station.

The centre has a limited number of seats for candidates only. Relatives and friends cannot wait in the centre.
Candidates requiring wheelchair access should be aware the entrance is via a ramped entrance on Water St. via Oriel Close passageway.

Arrival & Security Protocol

• Strict 15-Minute Rule: You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete check-in procedures. Late arrivals will be turned away without a refund.

• No Visitor Access: The Liverpool test center strictly prohibits non-candidates (family, colleagues, or children) from entering or waiting inside the facility.

• Locker Facilities: Small secure lockers are provided on-site for personal items. All personal belongings—including mobile phones, watches, bags, and revisions materials—must be stored away prior to entering the computer test room.

• Accepted Photo Identification: You cannot take your test without bringing a valid, original physical photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid UK Passport or Photocard Driving Licence. Digital copies, photos on phones, or expired IDs are strictly rejected.

Public transport is highly recommended. Covent Garden sits directly opposite the rear entrance to James Street station, and the site is within easy walking distance of Liverpool Lime Street and Moorfields stations, plus multiple central bus routes.

• No On-Site Parking: There is no parking available directly at Covent Gardens. City centre street parking is heavily restricted, so utilizing nearby public multi-storey car parks or public transit is advised.

Since visitors cannot wait inside the centre before their appointment, candidates arriving early can find coffee shops, cafes, and seating options along Water Street and the surrounding commercial district prior to check-in.
