Conveniently located in Manchester, the Universal Square test center also serves candidates traveling from Ardwick, Ancoats, City Centre, Longsight, Chorlton-on-Medlock, Openshaw, Gorton, and surrounding North West areas.

Test Centre Information

The test centre is located in the BLUE ZONE of the Universal Square development. The main building reception is accessed from Devonshire Street North, please report to reception and they will direct you to the test centre.

Ardwick Rail Station is located next to the Universal Square site and the closest bus stop is on Hyde Rd near to the junction of Devonshire Street North and adjacent to the Hyde Road Bus depot.

There is no public parking at Universal Square, however,  there is on street parking on the nearby roads. The nearest Car Park is Universal Building Car Park which is located on Higher Ardwick ,M12 6JR.

Disabled access via ramp to the complex main entrance, once in the main doors flat level access to our office.

Arrival & Security Protocol

• Strict 15-Minute Rule: You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete check-in procedures. Late arrivals will be turned away without a refund.

• No Visitor Access: The Manchester test center strictly prohibits non-candidates (family, colleagues, or children) from entering or waiting inside the facility.

• Locker Facilities: Small secure lockers are provided on-site for personal items. All personal belongings—including mobile phones, watches, bags, and revisions materials—must be stored away prior to entering the computer test room.

• Accepted Photo Identification: You cannot take your test without bringing a valid, original physical photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid UK Passport or Photocard Driving Licence. Digital copies, photos on phones, or expired IDs are strictly rejected.

Ardwick Rail Station is located next to the Universal Square site, making train travel highly convenient. Additionally, the closest bus stop is on Hyde Road near the junction of Devonshire Street North and adjacent to the Hyde Road Bus depot, served by multiple local routes.

• No On-Site Parking: There is no public parking available directly inside Universal Square. Alternative Parking Options: Limited on-street parking is available on nearby roads. The nearest pay-and-display car park is the Universal Building Car Park located on Higher Ardwick (M12 6JR). Planning extra time for parking is strongly advised.
