Exit the station at Southgate, turn onto Chase Side, continue along Chase Side past the Police Station on your left, the test centre is above the KFC on the same side.

No Parking – Pay & Display on main road.

Arrival & Security Protocol

• Strict 15-Minute Rule: You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete check-in procedures. Late arrivals will be turned away without a refund.

• No Visitor Access: The Southgate test center strictly prohibits non-candidates (family, colleagues, or children) from entering or waiting inside the facility.

• Locker Facilities: Small secure lockers are provided on-site for personal items. All personal belongings—including mobile phones, watches, bags, and revisions materials—must be stored away prior to entering the computer test room.

• Accepted Photo Identification: You cannot take your test without bringing a valid, original physical photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid UK Passport or Photocard Driving Licence. Digital copies, photos on phones, or expired IDs are strictly rejected.

The test center on Chase Side (N14) is easily reached via Southgate Underground Station (Piccadilly Line), which is just a short 3 to 5-minute walk away. Local bus routes also stop frequently along Chase Side and Southgate Station.

Parking & Congestion Charge Notice

• No On-Site Parking: There is no dedicated parking at Crown House. Street parking along Chase Side and surrounding roads is Pay & Display only and can fill up quickly during peak hours. Unlike Central London, Southgate sits outside the Congestion Charge Zone, but driver awareness regarding local ULEZ rules is recommended.

Since visitors cannot wait inside the center prior to their appointment, early arrivers can find local cafés, seating, and refreshments along Chase Side or near Southgate Station (including the KFC directly below the center and nearby coffee shops).
