The Test Centre entrance is located near the corner of Great Charles Street and Paradise Circus, next door to ‘Spaces’ which is next door to University College Birmingham (UCB). The building name is 154 Great Charles. The Test Centre has it’s own separate entrance to the left of the main entrance and is signed 155 Great Charles Street.

Crucial Rules & Test Day Logistics (Birmingham)

Arrival & Security Protocol

  • Strict 15-Minute Rule: You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete check-in procedures. Late arrivals will be turned away without a refund.

  • No Visitor Access: The Birmingham test center strictly prohibits non-candidates (family, colleagues, or children) from entering or waiting inside the facility. There are no waiting facilities for people accompanying candidates.

  • Locker Facilities: Small secure lockers are provided on-site for personal items. All personal belongings—including mobile phones, watches, bags, and revision materials—must be stored away prior to entering the computer test room.

  • Accepted Photo Identification: You cannot take your test without bringing a valid, original physical photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid UK Passport or Photocard Driving Licence. Digital copies, photos on phones, or expired IDs are strictly rejected.

If you do not have the above primary photo ID, you can carry secondary Id's one from List A and one from List B updated on CITB official website. If you do not have secondary photo Id's still you would be able to attend the test with a completely filled Waiver Form.
