Test Centre Information

On leaving the bus or railway station, walk along Lichfield Street towards the city centre and continue straight ahead into Darlington Street. Approximately half way down the hill in Darlington Street, turn RIGHT at the traffic lights into Waterloo Road. Derwent House is at the far end of Waterloo Road on your right, near to the major traffic light controlled junction with the Ring Road.

Disabled access: To the right of the main entrance there is a ramp to gain access to the foyer of the building. Go through the glass doors in the foyer and the lift is located on the left hand side. When exiting the lift on the second floor, turn right, go through the double doors and follow the signs for the PPC and enter ROOM 1. There is ample on-street parking in side streets and easily located multi-storey parking nearby.

Arrival & Security Protocol

• Strict 15-Minute Rule: You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete check-in procedures. Late arrivals will be turned away without a refund.

• No Visitor Access: The Wolverhampton test center strictly prohibits non-candidates (family, colleagues, or children) from entering or waiting inside the facility. The waiting area at the test centre is candidates only.

• Locker Facilities: Small secure lockers are provided on-site for personal items. All personal belongings—including mobile phones, watches, bags, and revisions materials—must be stored away prior to entering the computer test room.

• Accepted Photo Identification: You cannot take your test without bringing a valid, original physical photo ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a valid UK Passport or Photocard Driving Licence. Digital copies, photos on phones, or expired IDs are strictly rejected.
